Welcome to Haysop Hill Photography website!  We are Steve and Mary Jane Krotzer and we live in a community in Alabama known as Haysop, on what passes for a hill, hence the name.  

Our goals for these pages are modest; we want to share photographs that we have taken over the years of our favorite groups of insects -- odonates (dragonflies and damselflies), tiger beetles, and butterflies.  Most of the photos on this website are from our home state of Alabama and its neighbor to the west, Mississippi. These two states are where we spend most of our time, and the diversity of our favorite insects around here is so great that we’ll never run out of things to photograph!

In addition, we have included a miscellaneous category and travel photos to round out the site.  We hope that you enjoy seeing our photographs as much as we enjoy taking them!
