Dromogomphus spoliatus

Dromogomphus spoliatus occurs sporadically throughout the northern and central portions of Alabama and Mississippi. The breeding habitat is large slow rivers, reservoirs, lakes and ponds; the species is often quite common around manmade ponds in the Black Belt prairie.
