BARRED YELLOW

Eurema daira

Expected to occur throughout both Alabama and Mississippi in open areas.  Flies most of the year in our region.  Upper surface of forewing with black bar along trailing edge (more distinct in males).  Lower surface of hindwing with dark speckles, no basal spots, and no pink spot (as seen in Little Yellow).  The Winter form is darker and has a reduced wing bar.  Similar species: Little Yellow
