SILVER-SPOTTED SKIPPER

Epargyreus clarus

Occurs throughout both Alabama and Mississippi and can be common. Adults rest with wings closed or partially opened.   Upper surface brown with interrupted orange band through forewing.  Ventral surface of hindwing with large slivery-white blotch and band that divides hindwing.
