Uncommon but expected to occur throughout Alabama and Mississippi. Underside of wings brownish gray with many thin white stripes. Blue spot on hindwing with extensive red/orange cap.  Cell-end bar is aligned with upper segment of postmedian band.  Occasionally with orange on dorsal surface of forewings.  Similar species: Banded Hairstreak and King's Hairstreak
