Brachymesia gravida
(Four-spotted Pennant)
Brachymesia gravida is fairly widespread below the Fall Line in Alabama and Mississippi and is undoubtedly more common than current records indicate. The species inhabits freshwater and brackish ponds, lakes and ditches, and is often found in large numbers in prime habitat.
