DREAMY DUSKYWING

Erynnis icelus

Known from only Jackson County in northeastern Alabama.  A notably small duskywing that superficially resembles a Sleepy Duskywing.  The forewings have a black-edged, gray "chain" pattern that often has a white dot at the leading edge of the wing.  The forewings also have a well developed silvery "forearm" patch.  The best field marks are its small size and long palps.  Similar species: Sleepy Duskywing
