DUSKY ROADSIDE-SKIPPER

Amblyscirtes alternata

An uncommon skipper of open pine woods, known from only two counties in Alabama and seven counties in Mississippi.  A tiny dark skipper with lightly checkered fringe and a dusting of blue gray scales on the ventral surface of both wings.  White spots on both wings are light and not well organized.  Similar species: Pepper and Salt Skipper
