JUVENAL'S DUSKYWING

Erynnis juvenalis

Large, common duskywing that is found throughout Alabama and Mississippi, flying spring only.  Upper surface of males uniformly grayish brown with small white spots, including one at the end of the cell.  Upper surface of females more distinctly patterned than males, with large glassy spots including the one at the end of the cell.  Lower surface of hindwing brown with two distinct pale spots.  Similar species: Horace's Duskywing
