Found throughout Alabama and likely to range throughout Mississippi as well.  Adults fly from early summer until late in the fall.  Large skipper with long tails on the hindwings and a green iridescence on dorsal surface of body and wing bases.  Ventral surface of forewing with continous dark brown submarginal band.  Similar to Dorantes Longtail, but Dorantes lacks green iridescence and has an interrupted dark brown submarginal band on the forewing.
