Phanogomphus australis

(Clearlake Clubtail)

Phanogomphus australis is known from one county in extreme south Mississippi and a couple of localities in extreme south Alabama. As the common name implies, this is a lake/pond species, preferring sand-bottomed, permanent, vegetated water and often associated with lily pads.
